Making 2018 (and beyond) Yours

Are you staring at that list of resolutions and feeling a bit overwhelmed? Lamenting the fact you haven’t been to the gym yet, or started that new project you were talking about? Whether you’re reading this in January, or months from now, it’s never too late to re-write your story. Here are some ways to help get you centered, positive, and ready to get things done.
Create a vision board
This is something that you can do as an elaborate work of art, a simple project, or virtually. Take a moment and breathe in and ask yourself what are you ready to work for? What energy are you looking to attract into your life? Find pictures, memes, etc., that reflect that energy and your intentions to make the board with. To make the energy stronger, regularly spend time looking at your board and reflecting on the images. If you’ve used affirmations or ideas for morning rituals, make sure you’re following through.
Connect with nature
Nature is one of the greatest healers and a real wonder. You don’t have to have easy access to lakes, forests, and such to connect with nature. There are a lot of easy ways to do this right in your own home or yard. You can work with crystals that will support the energies you want to attract, do some earthing (stepping on the ground barefoot), swim, work with plant based oils/recipes, or even listen to some nature sounds audios.
Cultivate positive energy
Play upbeat/inspirational music, meditate, embrace play, enjoy a childhood favorite, and evaluate your surroundings. Are the people around you supportive and helpful? Is your social media feed making you feel happy, or drained? Depending on your answers, you may need to make some changes. Consider finding some classes/groups that are aligned with your interests and goals to get some support from like-minded people. Use sage regularly in your home, and consider some selenite crystals for the doorways. You can also look up visualization techniques, crystals, etc. that help protect your energy field.
With a little effort and commitment, you can start some practices that will help you to grow creatively, spiritually, emotionally, and professionally. What better time to start than now?
